The Philippine nation commemorates the first death anniversary of former President Corazon C. Aquino, 1 August. "Tita Cory" as she was fondly called is the mother of now President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III.
President Noynoy Aquino will give a tribute today to her beloved mother on the theme "Our Legacy, our Promise". Columban College joins in this commemoration and continues to adhere in her legacy of hope and renewal.

The College of Business Adminstration celebrates this week their Family Day. The 3-day event (17-19 August) includes a showcase from its courses, the JPIA Night, HRM presentations, Tourism Gastronomia 2010 and the Management Seminars. This will be capped by the CBA Family Night on the 19th at the OCCC.

GREENING THE BLUE CAMPUS

The Science and Mathematics Department of the College of Arts and Sciences and Education, Columban College; in partnership with the National Services Training Program and Community Extension Services Office, Columban College Science Federation, Columban College Mathematics Society, the College of Architecture will officially launch its campaign “Greening the Blue Campus” before the end of August 2010.      This is a year-round effort of the various units and organizations of the institution in promoting environmental awareness and environmental advocacies among staff and students to live onto the core value of “Makakalikasan.”
     The various components of the programs include the following:
- Campaign on Waste Segregation within the campus;
- Putting environmental posters and campaign materials inside each classroom;
- Conduct of Symposia and Film Viewing on Natural Resources Management;
- Field Trip Waste Segregation Facilities of UP Los Banos, Laguna; and
- Putting plants (in pots) along the corridor of different buildings.
