MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Msgr. C. Cacho, VG PCAs the new academic year opens I welcome everyone and hope for another great year as we anticipate our 50th Founding Anniversary in 2011. I invite all our alumni from elementary to college to join us in this once in a lifetime celebration. As we journey into another milestone in the history of our beloved institution, let us not forget that what we have achieved now is because of the work and the sacrifices as well as commitment of the countless people who have passed though Columban College's doors. Despite the numerous challenges we face, we continue to provide the best Catholic education in the surrounding areas. This is a testament to the commitment and teamwork of every Columbanite, to be always ready to serve as shown by the achievements of our alumni and studentry. Let us always be guided by our vision and may St. Columban always guide us.

MSGR. CRISOSTOMO A. CACHO, VG PC MA

COLUMBAN HYMN
Step together brave and free
Students of Columban we
Know that we can lead the way
In the land we love today.
Refrain:
Dedicated to promote the good
Faith in God guides our endeavor
Faith, hope, love for all
We can serve and lead together
We are Christ’s and His forever.
Step together never fear
God is good and God is near
Never left to fight alone
We are Christ’s and not our own.
Mary helps us on the way
Mary helps us everyday
For she loves her only Son
We are Christ’s and not our own.

SCHOOL SEAL AND MOTTO

CC Logo
The seal of Columban College bears the Celtic cross surrounded by the name of the school. Across it is St. Columban's motto "Christi Simus Non Nostri" or "We Are Christ's Not Our Own" in English. The Celtic cross is sometimes called a "Wheel Cross" because of the circle at the center connecting the beams. The circle is a symbol for God whom unites all men in His love. The cross represents Jesus Christ, the Son of God, our Lord and Savior, who is the foundation of our Christian life. He is the One who ennobles man, gives meaning to human life and is the model we present to our students.
